10th August, 2007: Department of English Osmania University, wants to develop listening comprehension CBT, to be used by 800 affiliated colleges for teaching English listening comprehension, gave us an order for developing the CD.

The content of this CD will be prepared by the Department of English, Osmania University to help learners at the undergraduate level to improve their Listening Skills. The CD will have samples of three types of spoken language: Informal Conversations, Formal Conversations, and Classroom Lectures. Each audio sample is followed by five questions and the learner answers them by choosing the most appropriate of the four given alternatives.

The content of the CD will be divided into two sections: ‘Lessons’ and ‘Practice’. In the ‘Lessons’ section there are altogether 15 lessons comprising five each of Informal and Formal Conversations, and Classroom Lectures. The instructor can select some or all of these lessons to demonstrate/explain the main and the sub-skills involved in listening for comprehension.

SDK Technologies is doing the technical support and development. SDK Technologies proposed to develop the entire application using our revolutionary tool TestRunner and the challenge is stringent time lines. Since the content is being developed from scratch and the time available for development and testing is very less. The entire project has to be executed with shoe string budgets.
